Braxton Keith brings his neo-traditional Texas country to Brooklyn Bowl Friday at 7 pm. The West Texas baritone writes straight-ahead honky-tonk with modern polish, leaning on pedal steel, waltzes, and no-nonsense storytelling. He has built a loyal crowd on the road the last few years, and his set swings from beer-joint two-steps to slow burners without losing that steady, booming vocal at the center.
